Louisville set for huge recruiting weekend

The University of Louisville football staff has a monster recruiting weekend set up for the regular-season finale against Kentucky. The Cardinals will be hosting 10 official visitors and as many as two dozen other visitors for the UK game.

University of Louisville football coach Bobby Petrino said earlier this week the message from recruits after last week's win at Notre Dame was "very positive."

The Cardinals will try to capitalize on some of that recruiting momentum this weekend with a monster recruiting weekend for the regular-season finale against Kentucky.

U of L will host 10 official visitors, including commitments Dahu Green and Traveon Samuel. Many of the visitors came in on Friday and will leave on Sunday morning, while some will arrive just before the game on Saturday.

Top offensive linemen Matt Kellerman, Josh Wariboko and Geron Christian are also visiting, along with quarterback Chason Virgil. Running back Keshawn Vaughn and wide receivers Keke Coutee, La'Michael Pettway and defensive back Rasul Douglas are also on visits.

Several other commitments will be making unofficial visits, including Tim Bonner, Matt Colburn, Chandler Jones, Kareem Orr, G.G. Robinson, Troy Thingstad and 2016 commits Keaton Torre and Desmond Fitzpatrick.

Wariboko's brother, Max, is a talented 2016 safety visiting, while Kentucky 2016 commitment Quentin Baker of Ashland is also expected to be in the stands.

Cardinal Authority will have stories on all the official visitors.
