Ex-Texas commit has 'blast' at Louisville

Lufkin, Tx., High school playmaker Keke Coutee made his second official visit last weekend, taking in the University of Louisville game against Kentucky.

Coutee, who visited Texas Tech last month, said he had a "blast" on his visit with the Cardinals, noting he "really liked the staff."

"It was great," he said. "It was a long way from home, but that's not a big factor. I liked the atmosphere and the school and the city.

"I really liked the guys on the team."

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound standout told Scout.com that he expects to make a decision from between those two schools in the coming weeks. He had a lot of other interest, including offers from Oklahoma and %%MATCH_7%% and interest from Arkansas and Texas among others.

Coutee was committed to Texas under the previous staff there.

As a senior, Coutee has 52 catches for 724 yards and 11 touchdowns. Last season, Coutee was solid at the receiver position when he caught 77 passes for 1,034 yards and nine TDs.

"They (college coaches) say I'm a guy who can make things happen," Coutee told Scout.com. "They like my hands and explosiveness. This off season I will keep working on my route running. It's good, but can always be better."
