University of Louisville head coach Rick Pitino met with the media on Thursday as his Cardinals (6-0) prep for a Friday night contest against Florida International (5-3) at the KFC Yum! Center.

Instead of discussing the challenges and focus of the upcoming game against the Panthers, Pitino answered questions about the progress of his team through 6 games, while also chiming in about the top teams in college basketball this season and more.

Louisville, which is currently a 30-point favorite, is 3-0 all-time against FIU, including a 85-56 win in Miami, Fla., last December.

Tipoff for Friday night is scheduled for 7:00 pm. The game will be televised by Fox Sports South.

Going to the game? Bring a toy!

New toys will be collected and subsequently donated to Kosair Children’s Hospital at the Cardinals’ Dec. 5 men’s basketball game against FIU. New toys for any age or gender will be collected in the lobby of the KFC Yum! Center. The collection is associated with UofL Athletics’ CardsCARE program and Kyle’s Korner for Kids, the community outreach established in 2011 by former Cards’ forward Kyle Kuric two years ago. Over 2,600 toys were donated by Cardinal fans at a similar collection a year ago.
