Pearl River (Miss.) C.C. defensive end Drew Bailey signed with Louisville on Wednesday

The University of Louisville was the final official visit taken by Pearl River (Miss.) C.C. defensive end Drew Bailey and it resulted in his verbal commitment.

Bailey, a 6-foot-4, 275-pound end, made official visits with Fresno State, Maryland and N.C. State before making a visit with Louisville last weekend. He also considered interest from Purdue, Southern Miss and others before pledging to the Cardinals.

"I liked what I saw after seeing the depth chart and the strength of schedule," told told Cardinal Authority. "They finished 9-3 in their first year in the ACC, so you know they are going in the right direction."

Bailey, a product of Atlanta (Ga.) Bannaker High School, led all Mississippi junior college programs with 10 sacks, to go with 22 tackles for a loss.

Bailey is one of seven prospects expected to sign on Wednesday, which is the first day of the early signing period for junior college and early high school graduates.
