Louisville wants to get to that 10-win mark

The University of Louisville football team is back at practice, preparing for the Dec. 30 Belk Bowl against Georgia in Charlotte, N.C. U of L coach Bobby Petrino met with the media this week and said the Bulldogs make him "nervous."

University of Louisville football coach Bobby Petrino said the matchup against Georgia in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 30 is exciting for his program.

The first-year boss of the Cardinals said playing an SEC team is a major challenge and noted watching the Bulldogs on tape makes him "nervous."

But he's also excited for Louisville.

The Cardinals had three different quarterback win games this season, played much of the season without All-American wide receiver DeVante Parker, had four running backs get 100-yard games and ended up with one of the nations top defense.

"We want to get to 10 wins,” Petrino said earlier this week. "That’s something certainly our seniors will be very proud of so they can look back and their careers and see the double-digit winning seasons that they’ve had.

"It is kind of a milestone that you want to hit every year, the 10 wins. Or 11, or 12 or 13. We want as many as we can get."
