On a day when the University of Louisville football team found out it was losing three top players from its secondary to the NFL Draft, the Cardinals offered another top 2015 prospect from the secondary.
The Cardinals were the fourth offer of the day - and fifth overall - for Dallas Kimball cornerback Antoine Stephens on Monday evening.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Stephens had been looking at Mississippi State and Arkansas prior to landing his first offer - from SMU - on Christmas Eve.
On Monday, Stephens landed offers from Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Washington State before he was contacted and offered by the Cardinals.
The Cardinals have four commitments from cornerback or safety prospects in the '15 class but are likely to add another to the mix. U of L is losing safeties James Sample and Gerod Holliman and corner Charles Gaines to early entry into the NFL Draft.
