Quandeski Whitlow committed to South Carolina in June, but that hasn't slowed others from expressing their interest, nor his determination to make sure he has made the right decision.
Ranked among the nation's Top 75 defensive end prospects, the 6-foot-4, 225-pound Whitlow has held an offer from Louisville for months and the Cardinals continued interest was rewarded with an official visit over the weekend.
"It was great," Whitlow said moments before boarding his flight home. "I loved all of it."
During his time in the Derby City, the three-star prospect toured the U of L campus and football facilities, attended the men's basketball game at the KFC Yum! Center, and spent time visiting with coaches and players.
"The players are really open-minded and make you feel welcome," he said. "I loved the coaches. They are great to be around."
While committed to South Carolina, Whitlow admits that the Louisville visit made an impact on his eventual decision. He has a visit with the Gamecocks in two weeks and will visit Florida the weekend after.
"I'm going to have to get home and balance everything out," he explained. "I'm going to take these next two visits and then I'll be able to make my mind up on where to go."
Cardinals head coach Bobby Petrino is expected to travel to Alabama on Monday and will make a visit with Whitlow.
