Louisville women 17-1 after win over Virginia

The University of Louisville women's basketball team is now 17-1 and has won nine straight games after a 67-55 win over Virginia on Sunday. The Cardinals are 5-0 in ACC play and are the lone team in the conference undefeated.

Sara Hammond scored 20 points and freshman Myisha Hines-Allen added 17 as the University of Louisville women's team won for a ninth consecutive time on Sunday.

The Cardinals outrebounded Virginia 39-35 and beat the Cavaliers 67-55 before 11,322 fans at the KFC Yum Center.

U of L is now 17-1 on the season and 5-0 in ACC play, making the Cardinals the lone team in league play still undefeated. U of L plays next on Thursday at Florida State.

Hammond hit 9 of 17 from the field and added nine rebounds, while Mariya Moore added 10 points for U of L. The Cardinals had 21 assists on 28 made field goals.

U of L won despite just 11 of 26 on free throws.
