With national signing day less than 48 hours away, CardinalAuthority.com will provide our projections as to how we believe the University of Louisville will round out its current class of football recruits.
We’ll update the latest with the prospects remaining on the Cardinals' board again tomorrow as we see fit. Not many spots left for a bunch of guys wanting into the class.
I'm leaving this class at 27 for right now. The Cards have 24 commitments at this point.
In: Lamar Jackson
Note: I still keep hearing Jackson is solid.
In: Jeremy Smith, Trey Smith, James Allen, Ke'Shawn Vaughn.
Out: Javarius Davis, Tim Cook, Kentavious Thomas.
Note: Sounds like Allen is firm and I'll add Vaughn in a last-minute surprise. He's been hot and cold on the Cardinals in recent weeks.
In: Paul Harris, Jaylen Smith, Traveon Samuel, Emonee Spence, DeVante Peete.
Note: It was Spence added last week and this week it was Peete. Nice couple of pickups for the Cards at this position.
In: Cole Hikutini
Note: Hikutini was a late addition to the JUCO guys; is enrolled and will participate in spring practice.
In: Kenny Thomas, Geron Christian, Khalil Hunter, Chandler Jones, Kiola Mahoni.
Out: Darion DeBroussard.
Note: Mahoni was a great late addition and if these five players all come in this class it's a major upgrade at OL.
In: Devonte Fields, Drew Bailey, G.G. Robinson, Tim Bonner.
Note: The Grantham staying news kept a lot of guys in the fold, and also added Fields - a five-star - to the mix.
In: Amonte Caban, Jonathan Greenard.
Out: Nick Dawson.
Note: Seems like U of L has long been favorite for Dawson but it doesn't look like they will have room.
In: Jaire Alexander, Sheldrick Redwine.
Out: Jalen Julius, Rashad Fenton.
Note: I think Redwine sticks and Fenton heads to South Carolina.
In: Darius Smith, Khane Pass.
Out: Tavarius Moore.
Note: Moore wants to come but likely won't be added until late spring.
