Good-Jones finishes up Louisville visit

Cedar Rapids, Iowa, offensive lineman Julian Good-Jones has been committed to Iowa State since July but this weekend spent time in Louisville. The three-star prospect made an official visit with the Cardinals that wrapped up on Sunday.

Three-star Cedar Rapids, Iowa, George Washington High School offensive lineman Julian Good-Jones made an unexpected visit to the University of Louisville this weekend.

The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Good-Jones has been committed to Iowa State since last July and made his official visit with the Cyclones last weekend. But on Wednesday he decided to take a trip to Louisville where he has a connection with U of L offensive line coach Chris Klenakis, who is a former assistant at Iowa State.

Good-Jones finished up his visit on Sunday and reported he had a "great time," but has declined to do any other interviews until signing day.

He originally picked Iowa State over Oregon State and Kansas State and still has some recent interest from Indiana and others.

Scout.com national analyst Allen Trieu called him an "athletic blocker."

In an evaluation of Good-Jones, Trieu says: "Good athlete who moves around the field with good balance and coordination. Plays hard and with intensity; finishes his blocks, but still must get stronger and bulk up."

Louisville has commitments in the '15 class from four offensive linemen, including junior-college tackle Kahlil Hunter, who is already enrolled for this semester. The Cardinals are expected to add at least one more lineman to the class.
