It seems like good news came in 'three's' for the University of Louisville football program on Monday, just two days before signing day.
The Cardinals landed a commitment from four-star wide receiver Devante Peete on Monday afternoon and had the commitment of three-star defensive end G.G. Robinson confirmed on Monday night after he made a visit to Florida.
And then came commitment No. 25 in the class when College of San Mateo offensive lineman Kiola Mahoni said he would sign with the Cardinals on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-4, 288-pound tackle visited the Cardinals last month and didn't take any other official visits. He also had scholarship offers from Cincinnati and Mississippi State, while Arizona State, Oregon State, Temple and others expressed interest.
Mahoni teamed with U of L defensive lineman Pio Vatuvei at San Mateo last season.
"I talk to him, but we haven't talked lately," Mahoni said recently. "He hasn't told me to much about Louisville yet, so I'm looking forward to seeing him when I visit."
A product of Woodside (Ca.) High School, Mahoni is on pace to attain his two year degree in May and will have three years to play two.
