Louisville signee nets 53 points in a game

University of Louisville women's basketball signee Asia Durr went over the 2,500-point mark on Tuesday night when she scored 53 points in a high school basketball game. Cardinal Authority has the latest on the No. 1 player in the country.

University of Louisville signee Asia Durr had a night to remember on Tuesday in her second-to-last regular-season game at St. Pius X High School in Atlanta, Ga.

Durr, considered the No. 1 player in the country, netted 53 points as St. Pius X defeated Redan High School 75-70 to move to 22-2 on the season.

In the game, Durr surpassed the 2,500 mark for her career. She now has 2,505 points for her career with one regular-season game and the postseason tournament left.

Durr, who is hitting 47 percent of her three-point field goals on the season, is averaging more than 32 points a game for St. Pius X.

She has been selected to play in the McDonald's All-American game in April.
