Louisville lands another Christian brother

One of the new members of the University of Louisville football program has been around a few times in recent years. Ocala, Fla., Trinity Catholic offensive lineman Geron Christian is the brother of former U of L tight end Gerald Christian. The younger Christian signed on Wednesday.

Even before he went on his official visit, Ocala, Fla., Trinity Catholic offensive lineman Geron Christian knew what to expect from the University of Louisville.

The 6-foot-5, 305-pound Christian is the younger brother of Gerald Christian, who graduated from U of L after last season. Gerald Christian spent three years at U of L after transferring from Florida and Geron had been to campus a few times.

So, when he was up for Gerald's Senior Day and his official visit it was a "pretty easy" decision for the former Miami commitment.The younger Christian is ranked as the No. 68 offensive tackle in the country by Scout.com and will have a shot to play right away for the Cardinals.

Christian reports he's "so excited" to follow in his brothers' footsteps.The younger Christian went to camp at Miami in June and earned an offer from the Hurricanes and then committed. He also had Arkansas and Mississippi State as other options.
