Lexington '16 star visiting Louisville

The University of Louisville football staff will host some of the state's top Class of 2016 prospects on Wednesday during a Bluegrass Junior Day, including a top target from Lexington. Bryan Station safety Devon Key said he will be in attendance for the Junior Day.

Lexington Bryan Station junior safety Devon Key hasn't picked up his first scholarship offer just yet, but the interest is gaining.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Key said he's starting to get interest from a bunch of other schools and will visit the University of Louisville on Wednesday.

Key will be one of around a dozen in-state prospects at U of L's Bluegrass Junior Day.

"I'm not sure how serious Louisville is," Key said. "I want to go up tomorrow and see what they have to say to me."

Key, who said he hears a lot from Western Kentucky and Miami of Ohio, said he would also attend U of L's regular Junior Day on Feb. 21.

"I'm excited about it," he said.

As a junior, Key led Bryan Station with 85.5 tackles, including two tackles for a loss. He also had two interceptions, four pass break ups and two forced fumbles.
