The University of Louisville women's basketball team closed out their regular season home schedule on Thursday evening against Boston College. Freshman Mariya Moore led the Cardinals with 18 points, but it was the five seniors that captured the 10,488 in attendance for the program's senior night at the KFC Yum! Center.
The five seniors - Shawnta' Dyer, Sara Hammond, Jude Schimmel, Bria Smith and Sheronne Vails - were honored prior to the game and all started. The group, the winningest class in program history, combined for 43 points, 23 rebounds, 15 assists and 15 steals to fuel the No.8 Cardinals to a 76-60 victory over Boston College.
Louisville (24-4, 12-3) dominated in the paint, out-rebounding the visitors by 10 and out scoring the Golden Eagles 42-20 down low. The Cardinals scored 38 points off 27 Boston College turnovers.
The Cardinals will close the regular season on Sunday at Virginia.
