The future of University of Louisville women's basketball continues to shine bright.
The incoming 2015 recruiting class continues to receive national recognition for their abilities on the hardwood. On Thursday, three of the five signees in the class were announced as participants in the Jordan Brand Classic All-American game to be held on April 17 at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Asia Durr and Brianna Jones will both suit up for the East team, with Taja Cole playing for the West squad.
Durr, the No. 1 overall player in the class of 2015, has also been tabbed a WBCA All-American and is a McDonald's All-American selecion. The standout from Atlanta St. Pius X finished her senior season averaging 33.3 points and 6.4 rebounds a game. She had 2,764 points on 51 percent shooting, 698 rebounds, 249 assists, and 260 steals for her career.
Jones, a 5-foot-10 guard from North Babylon, N.Y., was a consensus Top 50 prospect and a McDonald's All-American candidate. She averaged 28 points and 9.3 rebounds a game for North Babylon.
Cole, also a McDonald's All-American and a WBCA All-American honorable mention choice. She averaged 18.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 3.2 steals in 22 games at Lloyd Bird in Richmond, Va.
