Georgia DE 'loved everything about' U of L

Lovejoy, Ga., High School defensive end Chris Henderson landed an offer from the University of Louisville recently and last weekend made a visit to the Cardinals. Henderson is considered an under-the-radar prospect in the Class of 2016 and recaps the visit.

University of Louisville offensive coordinator Garrick McGee is recruiting an under-the-radar prospect in the state of Georgia and recently on his visit that prospect was able to sit down and talk also to defensive coordinator Todd Grantham.

And Lovejoy, Ga., High School defensive end Chris Henderson gave the Cardinals high marks after a visit.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Henderson said he "loved everything about" his trip to Louisville last weekend for Junior Day, noting he spent "a lot of time" with Grantham.

"It was just great," Henderson said. "I really liked Louisville a lot."

Henderson said he hadn't heard a lot from Louisville until recently when he was chatting with McGee. After watching his video earlier this month, Henderson said McGee extended the scholarship offer - his first offer.

"Coach Grantham said that I have good size and long arms," Henderson said. "He also said he thinks I would be a good fit for the defense they run.

"I really do like them a lot."

As a junior, Henderson helped lead Lovejoy to a 7-4 record. He finished the season with nine sacks to lead the team.

Henderson participated last summer in the Rising Stars All-Star game.
