Hawaii 4-star OL excited by Louisville offer

Honolulu (Hi) Kaiser offensive lineman Michael Eletise updates Cardinal Authority

Following a strong performance at the Opening camp in Los Angeles, Honolulu (Hi) Kaiser offensive lineman added the University of Louisville to his list of growing scholarship offers.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman received the scholarship offer last month from U of L offensive line coach Chris Klenakis.

"I am also super happy about the offer from Coach Klenakis," Eletise told Cardinal Authority. "I respect him as a coach, Louisville has an amazing program and anybody would be blessed to play for them."

While the distance presents difficulties for a visit, the four-star prospect remains in frequent contact with U of L and keeps up with the latest via the Internet.

"So far the recruiting process has been through calls and video," he said. "I keep up with the team practices and what's going on through social media and through gocards.com. Right now I'm just trying to take everything in and see if I'm a good fit for the Cards."

In addition to Louisville, Eletise also holds scholarship offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boston College, Florida State, Hawaii, Missouri, North Carolina, NC State, Texas Tech, UCLA, Utah, Washington, among others.

"My plan is for all schools is to get to know the coaches and try and understand the programs," he explained. "Being a member of a team with strong teamwork is important to me. I am open to going anywhere in the country and look forward to the adventure."

In doing so, Eletise is keeping an open mind with all schools expressing an interest.

"I really don't have a top ten or favorite right now," he said. "I actually have really enjoyed all the coaches I've met. I hope to continue to keep an open mind and narrow down sometime this summer. There will be lots of praying around my house."

Eletise, who is rated as the top offensive guard in the west region and top ten nationally, received the official invite to participate in The Opening Finals in to Beaverton, Oregon in early July.

"I just got my offical paperwork today and I am thrilled," he said.
