Aaron will transfer from Louisville

University of Louisville freshman Shaqquan Aaron has decided to transfer. Scout.com has confirmed the transfer with several sources on Wednesday, just a week after Aaron had said he was going to remain at U of L.

Shaqquan Aaron is transferring after all.

The University of Louisville freshman wing from Seattle has decided to leave the program just one week after the school announced he would stay.

Scout.com has confirmed the transfer with several sources.

Last week in his season-ending wrap-up press conference, Pitino said he "didn't know" about the future of the 6-foot-7 Aaron.

"I don't know about that one," he said. "Don't know. I haven't seen enough to like yet. It's a wait and see. He came in late. He's got a bad body. He's not thrilled with the weight room, just until the last month he got serious about it. He needs a makeover."

Aaron played in 22 games as a freshman but averages just 7.8 minutes. He had to sit out the first nine games of the season because of an NCAA eligibility issue.

He finished with just 29 points on 11 of 43 from the field and scored 11 points in a win over Wake Forest in early January. He scored just one basket after Jan. 31.
