Four future Louisville Cardinals - Deng Adel, Ryan McMahon, Donovan Mitchell and Ray Spalding - particapted in the Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic at Freedom Hall on Saturday night.

Mitchell was voted as team MVP by the media after scoring 21 points to go with six steals for the White team in a 127-119 loss to the Purple team. Adel added 20 points and nine rebounds.

Mitchell also took home the trophy for the dunk contest after receiving perfect scores for each of successful attempts.

Participating in the three-point contest finals, future Cardinal Ryan McMahon finished third with 19 points. McMahon set a new record for the event during the opening round on Friday night with a score of 26. Forward Matt Ryan, who will play for Mike Brey at Notre Dame, claimed the championship.
