Young Cincy back gives Louisville a look

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy running back Kesean Gamble is a power back who caught the attention of the University of Louisville staff a few months ago. Gamble made a visit to the Cardinals' campus this past weekend and here's the latest:

Cincinnati Hills Academy running back Kesean Gamble was supposed to make a Junior Day at the University of Louisville in February, but it was later called off because of weather.

The 5-foot-11, 215-pound member of the Class of 2017 made it to Louisville last weekend for another Junior Day and said he was "really glad I made the trip."

"It was so much fun; a great trip," Gamble said. "The coaches were great and I really liked the stadium. They want me to come back for a camp."

Gamble, who has also visited Cincinnati, said on all of his visits that he's trying to figure out what schools "really want" him.

"When I go to a college, I like to try and see if they really want me and are really interested," Gamble said. "I felt like they did.

"I talked to coach (Chris Klenakis) a lot and I really liked him. He's a cool guy."

Gamble has also been hearing from Cincinnati, Illinois and Purdue. He played at Fairfield, Ohio, before transferring to CHCA earlier this year.

As a sophomore, Gamble had back-to-back 100-yard plus games against Colerain and Lakota West. He had around 400 yards in six weeks when an injury slowed him the rest of the season.

He's considered one of the top backs in the '17 class in SW Ohio.
