Ohio RB takes a peek at Louisville

Grove City, Ohio, High School running back Xavier Moore took in a practice at the University of Louisville last week. Moore is just seeing his recruitment get going and he talks to Cardinal Authority about Louisville's interest.

Xavier Moore hadn't been getting a ton of recruiting interest.

So the Grove City, Ohio, High School running back took matters into his own hands and started sending messages to schools he'd like to attend."I emailed coach (Bobby) Petrino and Louisville got back with me," Moore said. "They invited me to a practice and said they want me to come to camp.

"I loved how fast they practiced and how the offense is. I could play a lot of spots in the offense and feel I would fit in."

Moore has a history with Louisville and said he knows Petrino because his uncle, Antoine Harris, played for the Cardinals.

Harris played for Petrino the first time he was at U of L and went on to see time for three teams in the NFL.

"He loved it," Moore said. "Coach Petrino is a great coach and I'm excited to be able to come back for a camp. I think I could fit into his offense."

Moore said he has also chatted with Cincinnati and will camp with the Bearcats at some point this summer.

Cardinal Authority will keep you posted on his recruitment.
