The University of Louisville began its final week of spring practice on Tuesday afternoon, going through a two-hour session inside Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. With the exception of a walk-through on Thursday afternoon, Tuesday's workout also served as the last regular session before Friday evening's Red-White Spring Game.
Following Tuesday's practice, U of L defensive coordinator Todd Grantham discussed the development of his players during spring practice.
"I've been pleased with our progress in knowing what to do and how to do it," Grantham said. "I think our mental errors are at a minimum, which is a good sign. There's always things you can work to correct and do those kind of things. We just have to continue to work and develop and understand that this is just the first phase of getting ready for the season."

The Cardinals are approaching Friday's spring game in many as they would a regular season contest.
"We'll go through like how we did it in a game," Grantham explained. "That's critical because we are all creatures of habit and I think the more comfortable that you can make players with understanding what we're going to do - this is how we operate on game day, this is our process, this is when we go out - make everything as game simulated as possible. I think it gives them a comfort moving forward to the season."
