Ryan McMahon said last week he couldn't wait.
Now, after making it official the 6-foot-1 guard from Sarasota, Fla., doesn't have much longer to wait to join the University of Louisville basketball program.
McMahon signed the paperwork on Wednesday and is on track to arrive in town in late May to begin his college basketball career. He will enroll in the first summer school session.
"This is what I worked hard for and it's almost here," McMahon said last week during the Derby Classic events. "I'm excited and ready for the next step."
McMahon averaged nearly 30 points a game as a senior at Cardinal Mooney and was third in the voting for Mr. Basketball in Florida. He committed to U of L in mid-February after a brief courtship by the Cardinals.
McMahon joins Donovan Mitchell, Ray Spalding and Deng Adel as signees, while Trey Lewis is a fifth-year transfer who will also be a newcomer at U of L.
