Louisville women to host fifth-year transfer

University of Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz is also trying to land a fifth-year transfer for the Cardinals' roster. Walz and his staff will host ex-Colorado forward Arielle Roberson this weekend.

Trying to land a little more experience for his team next season, University of Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz is expected to host a standout forward fifth-year transfer on campus this weekend.

The Cardinals are expected to be the third visit for former Colorado forward Arielle Roberson. She is also looking at West Virginia and Purdue.

Roberson is likely to be on U of L's campus on Sunday. She is expected to graduate from Colorado next month and would be immediately eligible.

The 6-foot-1 Roberson is from Texas but only played two seasons at Colorado because of injuries. She was on the All-Pac 12 honorable mention all-conference team both seasons.

She missed all of this past season with a knee injury after previously missing time with a torn labrum in her left hip. But when she played, Roberson was good.

Roberson was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year during the 2012-13 season after she averaged 12.1 points and 6.2 rebounds. She led the team in scoring (12.0) and rebounds (8.3) during the 2013-14 seasons.

Coming from a very athletic family, Roberson is the sister of Oklahoma Thunder player Andre Roberson. Her sister, Ashlee, played at Texas Tech and another sister, Amber, played volleyball at Texas.

Cardinal Authority will keep you posted on her visit.
