On Friday night, Oden said his fondness for the Cardinals' grew even more.
The 6-foot-5, 190-pound three-star quarterback traveled to U of L and took in the Spring Game and had a chance to chat with several of the coaches.
"I had a great time," Oden reports. "It was a lot of fun. I think it gave me a good look at their offense, so it was a great trip."
Oden said the previous trip - a Junior Day in March - allowed him to spend time with offensive coordinator Garrick McGee in a film session and offensive line coach Chris Klenakis - who is his main recruiter. He also chatted with head coach Bobby Petrino.
He added it was nice to make the return to "watch the offense pretty close," noting that he was impressed with how the Cardinals' moved the ball.
"It was fun to watch them," he said.
Oden said he has a lot of schools coming after him but it appears the ones showing the most interest include U of L, Penn State, Tennessee and West Virginia.
Oden could be a player who makes a decision and enrolls early in January of 2016. As a junior, he totaled 1,947 yards of offense with 28 touchdowns. He threw for more than 1,000 yards and rushed for just under 1,000 yards and led Spring Hill to the playoffs for the first time since 2009. He also had just three interception.
Cardinal Authority will keep you posted on his recruitment.
