Louisville football is on a bit of a run in recruiting.
The Cardinals landed a second commitment of the day and the eighth in the Class of 2016 when DeSales punter/athlete Austin Johnson committed.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Johnson is the brother of former U of L punter Ryan Johnson, who just finished his eligibility last season.
The younger Johnson averaged 40 yards a punt for DeSales and kicked 44 extra points and 10 field goals as a junior, leading the team to the Class 2-A State title.
He was also the quarterback and ran 113 times for 655 yards and 12 touchdowns, while completing 87 of 159 passes for 1,372 yards and 15 TDs.
