The University of Louisville football staff has been all over the country this week, recruiting and offering new prospects scholarships.
One prospect the Cardinals made a visit to on Friday was four-star Coral Gables, Fla., running back Amir Rasul, who is a soft commitment to Miami.
Rasul is the No. 199 prospect nationally in the Scout.com top 300 and ranks as the No. 13 running back in the country.
Speed is the 6-foot, 202-pound running back’s specialty, having been clocked in the 40-yard dash at 4.38 seconds and the 100-meter race at 10.31 seconds.
The Cardinals spent some time at Madison, Ala., Academy on Thursday and offered offensive lineman Austin Troxell, a top 2017 prospect.
U of L also offered his teammate Malik Miller. The 6-foot, 230-pound running back from Madison is a three-star prospect with offers form Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and others.
Miller is one of Alabama's top prospects in '16.
U of L has also offered four-star 2017 safety A.J. Harris of Madison, Ala., Bob Jones High School. He also has an offer from Florida State and interest from Georgia and Auburn.
Cincinnati Winton Woods defensive tackle Alex Parker made a visit to the U of L Spring Game and is still hearing from the Cardinals.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Parker is still waiting for his first offer.
"I loved the atmosphere," Parker said. "The coaches told me to get my foot speed faster and improve before I go to camp. If they offer me, I would commit."
