Miami WR says Louisville offer is "huge"

Miami Columbus wide receiver Jerron Rollins picked up what he called a "huge" offer on Thursday when he landed one from the University of Louisville. With around 10 offers on the table, Rollins described why the U of L offer is so special.

Miami Columbus wide receiver Jerron Rollins has watched good players from the area attend the University of Louisville and be successful on the football field.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Rollins said he "became a big fan" of the Cardinals.

Rollins said that was one of the reasons he was so excited to announce via Twitter on Thursday afternoon that he had landed an offer from the Cardinals.

"That's a huge one because I'm such a fan," Rollins said. "I've watched a lot of their games on TV. I really like Louisville a lot."

Rollins said he has watched Miami natives Teddy Bridgewater, Eli Rogers, Gerod Holliman and others make it at Louisville and he also liked another player.

"I think highly of DeVante Parker and what he did," Rollins said.

Rollins said he now has nine offers with Indiana and Pittsburgh close to also extending one. His other offers are Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, N.C. State, Northern Illinois, Western Kentucky, Liberty and Appalachian State.

As a junior, Rollins had 38 catches for 620 yards and seven touchdowns.

He's one for the Louisville fans to keep an eye on.
