The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced times for two of the University of Louisville’s first three football games of the 2015 season.
Following their season-opener against Auburn at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on September 5, the Cardinals will begin a three-game homestand and the start times for the first two were released on Wednesday.
The home-opener against Houston on September 17 is scheduled for noon. The game will be broadcast on the ACC Regional Sports Network. Five days later the Cardinals will begin ACC play when Clemson visits Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The Thursday night ESPN broadcast has been slated to kickoff at 7:30p.m.
Louisville is 8-7 all-time against Houston, but have won six of the last seven meetings. Most contests between the two occurred during the program's membership in Conference USA from 1995-2005. The pair were also conference mates for U of L's sole season in the American Athletic Conference in 2013, with Louisville winning that meeting 20-13.
This will only the second meeting between U of L and Clemson, with the Tigers claiming a thrilling 23-17 win in Death Valley last fall.
The Cardinals begin fall camp on August 6.
The ACC Network will feature a weekly football game which will air each week on the Regional Sports Networks (RSN) of Fox Sports South, Fox Sports Carolinas, Fox Sports Florida or Sun Sports, Comcast Sports Net Mid-Atlantic, New England Sports Network (NESN), the YES Network or MSG Network in New York and Root Sports in Pennsylvania, in addition to several other RSNs nationally reaching 71 million homes on average.
