The University of Louisville baseball's record-setting regular season play wasn't equaled in the post season as the Cardinals fell XX-XX to Florida State on Saturday afternoon at the ACC Baseball Championship eliminating them from the tournament.

Cardinals staring pitcher Brendan McKay worked five shutout innings before struggling in the sixth inning, when he hit the lead off hitter and then issued a walk to put two on. An error by Sutton Whiting allowed the game's first run to score and bring an end to McKay's afternoon on the mound.

Fresh off the injured list, Drew Harrington entered to relieve McKay, issuing a walk to the first batter he faced to load the bases with no out. The plunked the next batter to plate another Seminoles run and a third crossed the dish when a shot up the middle bounced off Harrington.

Florida State added two more runs in the bottom of the seventh off when Chris Marconcini connected for two-out two RBI single.

At the plate, the Cardinals were led by Corey Ray and Colby Fitch who both enjoyed two hit outings.
