Cards offer a pair of Florida stars

The University of Louisville football staff is busy again recruiting in the state of Florida, offering a pair of standouts from the Sunshine State on Wednesday afternoon. Cardinal Authority has the latest on the new offers.

With all the recent success recruiting in Florida, the University of Louisville football staff continues to try and recruit the Sunshine State hard.

On Wednesday, the Cardinals offered a couple more stars from Florida.

Tashawn Manning picked up offer No. 22 when the Cardinals' offered him on Wednesday. He's a 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive end from Orlando, Fla., Wekiva High School.

Manning also has offers from Indiana, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, South Florida, Purdue, Syracuse and others.

"I know about Louisville's program," Manning said. "They're in the ACC and they're a program known for their d-line."

The Cardinals were the first offer for Coral Springs, Fla., Charter School outside linebacker Kevin Soltis.

Soltis is a 6-foot-2, 195-pound member of the Class of 2016.
