Ashland Blazer running back Quinton Baker is one of the top prospects in the state of Kentucky in the Class of 2016 and spent Saturday at the University of Louisville's camp. He was a standout with the running backs and talked with Cardinal Authority about his effort.

The University of Louisville football staff had around 100 prospects in camp on Saturday, including one of the state's top Class of 2016 running backs Quinton Baker.

The standout from Ashland Blazer High School was a standout with the running back group.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Baker camped for the Cardinals and also was on campus for U of L's Junior Day and the Spring Game and said the Cardinals are "showing great interest."

"I was really happy with my day at camp," Baker said. "They said they were going to sit down and talk about me as a staff and I hope that an offer comes form them soon."

Baker said he spent most of the day working with running backs coach Kolby Smith and had a chance to talk to the former U of L running back who also played on the NFL, noting he "really likes him a lot."

Baker, whose father - Al- played at Kentucky, will camp in the next two weeks at Western Kentucky, Tennessee and Wake Forest. He has offers from Kentucky, Ohio U., Marshall, Ball State, Troy and Eastern Kentucky.

In 11 games last year Baker rushed for 1719 yards and 20 touchdowns. Last weekend he posted a personal best in the 100 meters with a 10.75.
