U of L women with another big visitor

University of Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz had another big-time visitor on campus this week. Tampa, Fla., 2017 forward LaDazhia Williams spent time on an unofficial visit with the Cardinals' coaching staff.

University of Louisville basketball coach Jeff Walz and his staff landed the No. 1 recruiting class in the Class of 2015 and are in on a bunch of top 2016 prospects.

Now, the Cardinals have started working on '17.

One of the elite '17 prospects in the country - Tampa, Fla., forward LaDazhia Williams was on campus Thursday making an unofficial visit to the Cardinals. She spent time touring the campus and talking with the U of L coaches.

The 6-foot-4 sophomore at Lakewood Ranch High School was named the Bradenton Herald All-Area Girls Basketball Player of The Year. Williams averaged a double-double with 19.8 points and 10.2 rebounds for the season.

Williams is also being recruited by Tennessee, South Carolina, Connecticut, Notre Dame and Ohio State among many others.

As a sophomore, Williams helped lead Lakewood Ranch into the region final for the first time in school history.
