Keon Howard trims list to four favorites

Laurel, Miss., quarterback Keon Howard took a step closer to making his college decision on Tuesday with his announcement that he has trimmed his list of favorites to four.

The three-star prospect listed his finalists via Twitter, listing Louisville, Memphis, Minnesota and Mississippi State, all of which have extended a scholarship offer.

Rated as the top quarterback prospect in Mississippi and No.19 nationally, Howard threw for 3,631 passing yards and 38 touchdowns, leading Laurel to a Class 5A title as a junior.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound dual threat athlete, who camped at Louisville in early June, also drew interest from North Carolina, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Wake Forest and others.
