Louisville set for Friday Night Lights

The University of Louisville football program will hold it's first-ever Friday Night Lights camp this weekend and an impressive group of participants is expected. Cardinal Authority has the latest.

A growing trend throughout college football is a Friday Night Lights camp experience. Participating prospects enjoy the added night football experience provides and it allows a program an additional opportunity to bring recruits onto campus.

Louisville will hold its first-ever Friday Night Lights camp this weekend a solid group of prospects, potentially as many as 75, are expected to make their way to the Derby City to attend.

A number of U of L commitments are planning to attend, including Desmond Fitzpatrick, Tylin Oden, Seth Dawkins and Chris Taylor-Yamanoha. Local pledges Rodjay Burns and Derek Dorsey will also participate.

Camp attendees are expected from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee and elsewhere.
