Rated by Scout.com as the nation's tenth best quarterback prospect, Pass had his pick of school's to choose from. Name a school from the ACC or SEC and he likely held an offer. The four-star prospect recently trimmed his list with the Cardinals, along with Alabama, Auburn, North Carolina and Virginia Tech making his final five.
As his decision neared, it became a three school race between U of L and the Alabama and Auburn. Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban made a strong push in recent days. Making his announcement in front of family and friends, Pass committed to the Cardinals over the pair of SEC schools.
"It's a good fit for me," Pass said moments after announcing his decision. "I have a good relationship with the coaches and that's where my heart is at."
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound dual-threat quarterback will join his older brother on the Cardinals roster. Khane Pass, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound safety, signed with Louisville in February.
Pass becomes the 13th member of Louisville's 2016 recruiting class and second four-star commitment, joining wide receiver Desmond Fitzpatrick. He is the fourth Cardinal commitment from Georgia, joining pledges by Robbie Bell, Baylen Buchanan and Malik Staples.
Cardinal Authority was present for Pass' announcement and will have continuing coverage.
