QB Oden still committed to Louisville

Among the committed prospects at Louisville's Friday Night Lights Camp this week was quarterback Tylin Oden. The Columbia, Tenn., Spring Hill quarterback told Cardinal Authority the camp was "great" and he's still "firm" on his commitment to U of L.

On Thursday, Louisville picked up a commitment from four-star quarterback Jawon Pass and some figured it would mean the de-commitment of the other quarterback in the class - Tylin Oden.

But that's not the case.

Oden, a three-star quarterback from Columbia, Tenn., Spring Hill High School, put on his Twitter account that he's "not going anywhere," and confirmed to Cardinal Authority on Saturday that his commitment is still "firm."

The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Oden, who committed in late May, said he hasn't been talking to any other schools and was at Louisville'S Friday Night Lights camp this week.

"It was great," Oden said. "I had a good time and (the coaching staff) said I did pretty good and they want me to work on those drills to master them."

Oden said he has no other trips planned this summer and welcomed "the competition," at quarterback.

As a junior, he totaled 1,947 yards of offense with 28 touchdowns. He threw for more than 1,000 yards and rushed for just under 1,000 yards and led Spring Hill to the playoffs for the first time since 2009. He also had just three interceptions.
