U of L staff 'getting a lot done'

Cardinal Authority is counting down the days until the University of Louisville football team starts the season on Sept. 5 against Auburn in the Chick-Fil-A Classic at the Georgia Dome. It's 51 days before the game and defensive coordinator Todd Grantham talks about what the staff has going on these days.

There's still 51 days until the season-opener for the University of Louisville football team.

But defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, who spoke this week with the Quarterback Club of Louisville, said these are busy but very important days for the football staff.

"We are getting a lot done," Grantham said. "We have to prepare for the season, prep for training camp, there's still recruiting and now we get to work with our players. So, there's a lot going on."

Grantham said the staff might be busy but the days are very important.

"There are a lot of little things and a lot going on," Grantham said. "But it's all important because some of the little things that we can do now will help us down the road. It's the little things that make a difference."

U of L's football camp will open on Aug. 6 with media day on Aug. 8. The first game is Sept. 5 against Auburn.
