The positive momentum continues with Louisville's recruiting efforts.
Carrollton, Ga., defensive end Michael Boykin became the newest member of the Cardinals 2016 recruiting class on Monday evening when he pledged to Louisville over Auburn.
Considered an Auburn lean in recent weeks, Louisville increased their efforts in recent weeks and hosted Boykin on an unofficial visit over the weekend. He participated in the Cardinals 'Friday Night Lights' camp, toured campus and the program's facilities, as well as strengthen his relationships with members of the Louisville coaching staff throughout his visit.
Boykin also held scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, Wake Forest and others.
The three-star prospect is rated among the top 50 defensive end prospects in the South by Scout.com and is among the top 200 in the nation.
Boykin is the 14th member of Louisville's 2016 recruiting class and the fifth from the state of Georgia.
