The University of Louisville opened fall football camp on Thursday with newcomers going in the morning practice and the veterans running out in the afternoon.
The bad weather locally forced the Cardinals inside at the Trager Center.
But the rain didn't dampen the spirits. Head coach Bobby Petrino said overall he was "very pleased" with day one of fall camp and talked to the media after the second practice.
The Cardinals will have six open practices to the media and public - two on Saturday and Sunday and one each on Monday and Tuesday of next week. The opener is Sept. 5 against Auburn.
