The University of Louisville signed its highest-ranked recruiting class in February.
So, it should come as no surprise that after three days of camp several true freshmen have been impressive.
Cornerback Jaire Alexander and wide receiver Traveon Samuel are both likely to play because they enrolled in January and went through spring ball with Bobby Petrino saying they are "way ahead" of the rest of the class.
But at least six others are expected to battle for playing time, including safeties Dee Smith and Khane Pass, linemen Kenny Thomas and Geron Christian, quarterback Lamar Jackson and wide receiver Emonee Spence.
