Grantham is the coach of U of L stars James Burgess and Keith Kelsey and said the two have played at a high level in camp so far, opening "some eyes across the board."
Grantham said the two have become leaders and are going to make a lot of plays this season. He noted Isaac Stewart - who redshirted last season - has come a long way and will play along with Stacy Thomas. The latter was really good in the spring when Burgess was out after having an injured hand.
Burgess is one of the smartest players on the team, according to Grantham.
Grantham also said it was "just huge" to have John Wallace back for another season and noted that Josh Appleby is "a different" punter than he was this time last season.
"he just hasn't done it in a game situation yet," he said. "He'll be fine for us."
Grantham is excited about the improvement in special teams and said Colin Holba will replace four-year starter - and never a bad snap -long snapper Grant Donovan, who graduated.
The Cardinals will use starters on the special teams with Grantham noting they'll be "very athletic."
