U of L football: Practice report

The University of Louisville football team is going through its final day of double session for the fall camp. The Cardinals will have two more practices this week and a scrimmage on Saturday before classes start on Monday. Here's a look at some videos from the morning practice on Wednesday - which is day 14 of fall camp.

University of Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham said his defense is working hard as the Cardinals' finish double sessions for this fall camp on Wednesday.

U of L will move to one practice a day and will have a scrimmage on Saturday before players begin classes on Monday.

"Guys are really paying attention to detail," Grantham said after the morning practice. "We've got to keep grinding and find ways to get our best players on the field."

The Cardinals open against Auburn on Sept. 5 and are hoping for much of the same they saw from the defense last season. The Cardinals tied for first nationally in forced turnovers and were a top-10 defense.

"We lost some guys but have some others that have stepped up," Grantham said. "We just have to keep working."
