Trinity High School senior Rodjay Burns proved he's one of the state's top players in the opening-game of the season for the Shamrocks' on Friday night at Marshall Stadium.
Burns, a University of Louisville commitment, had a touchdown catch, an interception, three tackles and two pass breakups in a 45-0 romp over Nashville, Tenn., Ensworth.
"It was a good start," Burns said. I felt like I've been ready for this for a while."
Burns, who committed to U of L in early March, said he was happy to have that process behind him because he's been able to focus on just his skill set for his senior season.
Playing two ways for two years at Trinity, Burns isn't sure what position he'll play in college.
