Video: Breaking down Louisville special teams

Cardinal Authority is running a position series as a preseason football feature to help you get familiar with the entire University of Louisville roster. Along with a breakdown of the position and a feature story each day we will do a video preview. Here's a look at today's video preview of the Louisville special teams positions.

It's the final piece to our position series - special teams.

And while many folks think of special teams as an after thought, Louisville coach Bobby Petrino said this fall camp his staff has "spent a whole lot of time," on special teams.

"We want to make sure we are better in every area of special teams," Petrino said.

John Wallace is back as the placekicker, while Josh Appleby takes over as the punter. One of the most important positions is long snapper where Colin Holba replaces Grant Donovan.

The Cardinals have a handful of guys to pick from to return kicks and punts.

The Cardinals had a closed scrimmage on Friday night and are off until Monday.
