Louisville has home opener against Houston

The Cardinals, coming off a 31-24 loss to Auburn last Saturday, will start true freshman Lamar Jackson at quarterback. The dynamic playmaker from Boynton Beach, Fla., had 106 yards rushing and 100 yards passing last week.

U of L coach Bobby Petrino is 8-0 in games played at noon during his time with the Cardinals, while the Cardinals' have won seven straight home games against non-conference foes.

The Cardinals haven't started a season 0-2 since 1998 under John L. Smith.
