Following a summer that saw a trio of Cardinals play for the U.S. Collegiate National Team and a host of others enjoy successful seasons in varying summer leagues, the members of the 2015-16 Louisville baseball team began fall ball earlier in the week.

The team has conducted a pair of scrimmages, including one Saturday prior to the U of L football game at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

The new roster has a lot of familiar faces, as well as a number of new ones.  Cardinal Authority will get you caught up on the rebuilt squad throughout fall ball.  Check out our photo gallery from Saturday morning below.

The Cardinals are tentatively scheduled to host weekend scrimmages nearly every week until the conclusion of fall workouts in mid-October. Dates and times for future scrimmages as well as the annual Pizza Bowl series will be announced throughout the fall.

One big change in Louisville's fall schedule this year is the addition of the team's five-day trip to the Dominican Republic on Oct. 2-6. The trip, which will coincide with the university's mid-term break, will likely include multiple games against local winter league teams while also offering community service opportunities for the players and coaches. The complete schedule of activities for the trip will be announced soon.
