Louisville football team is expected to host about 25 visitors this weekend

The University of Louisville football team will host around 25 unofficial visitors this weekend for the Samford game, including a top Miami commitment and five players who are currently committed to the Cardinals.

The University of Louisville football staff will be hosting around 25 prospects on Saturday for the Samford game. It will mark the third week in a row the Cardinals have a bunch of top prospects, including in-state standouts.

The group this week is expected to include five players committed to Louisville and three players from Jacksonville, Fla., Raines High School, including linebacker Michael Pinckney, who is committed to Miami.

The 6-foot, 220-pound Pinckney is ranked as the No. 23 linebacker in the country and No. 4 in the state of Florida.

Quarterback Augie DeBiase and wide receiver Ronald Patterson are two other Raines three-star prospects expected.

U of L commitments expeected to attend the game are Male wide receiver Keion Wakefield, Trinity safety Rodjay Burns, Manual defensive lineman Derek Dorsey and DeSales kicker Austin Johnson. All four locals have been to the previous two games.

The fifth commitment expected is Mill Creek, Ga., offensive lineman Robbie Bell, who will make his first trip of the season to campus.

Ryle High School quarterback Tanner Morgan is one of the top 2017 prospects in the state and holds an offer from Louisville. He's expected to take in the game on Saturday.
