It's football season but this weekend is huge for the men's and women's basketball porgrams at the University of Louisville.
U of L men's coach Rick Pitino and his staff will host the nations top point guard - De'Aaron Fox - on his official visit, while U of L commitment V.J. King will also be in town on an unofficial visit.
Not to be left out, U of L women's coach Jeff Walz and his staff host Lauren Cox, a forward from Flower Mound, Tx., who is the consensus No. 1 player nationally in the Class of 2016.
The 6-foot-4 Fox, who is ranked as the No. 4 player in the class by Scout, visited LSU last weekend and still has official visits remaining to Kansas, Kentucky and Arizona before making a decision. He's also still looking at N.C. State.
Fox told Cardinal Authority earlier this month that he was "looking forward to spending time" with Pitino and the rest of the team. He's expected to watch the team practice at least twice on his visit.
The 6-foot-6 King committed to the Cardinals in June and has said he was coming this week because Fox asked him to be on campus at the same time he was making his visit. King has been recruiting Fox for the Cardinals' staff.
On the women's side, U of L landed the No. 1 player in the class last season - Asia Durr - and is hoping to do the same this time around. Cox, who is in town all weekend, played on the same USA Basketball team with Durr during the summer of 2014.
Cox is also considering Notre Dame, Tennessee, Baylor and Connecticut.
The U of L women's team already has four commitments in the Class of 2016.
